My Groupie

When talking with my oh so Fabulous, Sexy and 'blow
them away" educated BFF Lavandria M. Cole ,I came to realize that we do indeed have a different
taste in men. She has her type and me, I have mine. What's my type you ask?
What kind of "groupie" is RaChelle-Denise? Well...
I am the woman who falls for a man with a poetic and
artsy mind. I'm not talking about a Romeo and Juliet type of poetic, I'm taking
about that poetic visionary. I, myself am a poet. I write. I imagine. I read. I
listen. I learn. I create. Hell, I'm an educator, so of course I am going to
gravitate to a man who has a philosophical and imaginative perspective and
personality. A man who is comfortable and willing to look past the
"wrapping" I come with and hold a meaningful conversation with me. I
want to know how you see things, how things make you feel. It surprises people
how well and good of a listener I actually am. So SPEAK!
Yes, I am HIGHLY aware that I am attractive; I'm
pretty, I get it BUT that's not all that I am. I have a mind, I have a voice, I
have dreams. I.Have.A.Story. Which is why I don't really care all that much
about appearance. Oh course he has to have style and swagger, he has to be able
to hold his own, but that's not all I go for--you have to bring something else
to the table for me to consider--make me think, make me wonder. Don't think for
a second, that spitting game will get you past the welcome mat. Let it be known
that I know the game VERY well and I've played with and learned from the best;
you can't bullshit and bullshitter.
So I am not a "football/basketball groupie",
I'm more of a "creator/game changer groupie"---if I were a groupie
that is.
